Hi! I'm Clare ✨
I am a designer and illustrator who has been drawing for as long as I can remember—art has always been my language. In June 2023, following a major life change, I launched my stall as a way to share my deep love for nature, architecture, and botanical themes. What started as a creative outlet quickly became a thriving passion project, allowing me to connect with a wonderful community of art lovers and fellow makers.
At the heart of my work are trees—my favorite subject to draw. Their intricate forms, textures, and ever-changing beauty inspire me endlessly. Researching them is both informative and meditative, feeding my creativity while grounding me in nature. Whether through hand-drawn illustrations, unique prints, or commissioned pieces, I aim to capture the magic of the world around us and share that sense of wonder with others.
Beyond illustration, I love sharing my skills through creative workshops. I run mindful drawing sessions at Clever Hands in Liverpool and collaborate with The Art Doctor in Chester, helping others explore creativity as a form of self-expression and relaxation. These workshops bring people together through art, encouraging playfulness, observation, and a deeper appreciation for the world around them.
My passion for storytelling also led me to write and illustrate ‘The bird afraid to fly’, a book inspired by life changes and a special trip to Wales. It’s a deeply personal story about courage, transformation, and finding the strength to embrace the unknown. I’m proud to have it stocked at Dead Ink Books, making it more accessible to those who may find meaning in its pages.
From crafting elegant UX designs to illustrating organic, intricate details, my work is all about storytelling, connection, and exploration. Whether at markets, bookstores, or workshops, or the start-up business I run with my midwife sister called bitbaby. I hope to inspire others to see the beauty in the details and embrace the joy of creativity.
